Bratislava, 10. 3. 2026 – Representatives of Eximbanka and the National Council of the Slovak Republic (NC SR) signed today, 10 March 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation, which creates a framework for the coordination of activities to support the economic and strategic interests of Slovakia abroad, especially in the context of foreign business trips and the presentation of Slovak companies in foreign markets.
The Memorandum was signed by Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka, and Richard Raši, President of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, in the presence of Daniel Guspan, Head of the Chancellery of the National Council of the Slovak Republic.
The signing of the Memorandum represents a historic milestone in Eximbank’s relations with the National Council of the Slovak Republic. It is the first formalized cooperation of Eximbanka with the legislative body of the Slovak Republic and at the same time it is the pilot memorandum that Eximbanka concluded with a Slovak state institution.
“We welcome the initiative of the President of the National Council of the Slovak Republic to involve business delegations in foreign business trips. For Slovak exporters, participation in the delegation of a constitutional official is a great opportunity – it increases the credibility of companies and often helps them open doors to new partners in foreign markets. Eximbanka is ready to be part of such initiatives and support Slovak companies in promoting themselves abroad,” said Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka.
One of the first such opportunities was the foreign working trip of the President of the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic Richard Raši to Italy in January 2026, which included a business delegation focusing on sustainable energy and construction.
