Eximbank’s export support in 2025 reached almost EUR 2 billion

Through its banking and insurance activities, Eximbanka supported exports totalling CZK 1 905 million in 2025. EUR According to the year-end data, Eximbank’s equity exposure (the sum of banking and insurance exposure) in 2025 amounted to EUR 1 217.1 million, which represents an increase of 3.2% compared to the previous year.

Total bank exposure at 31. 12. 12. 2025 from loans granted, guarantees issued and other receivables amounted to EUR 865.0 million, which represents an increase compared to the end of 2024 by EUR 108.7 million, i.e. j. by 14.4%.

The total insurance exposure from the insurance of marketable and non-marketable risks amounted to EUR 352.1 million as of 31 December 2025, which represents a decrease compared to the end of 2024 by EUR 71.2 million, i.e. j. by 16.8%.

Eximbank’s net income from banking activities in 2025 amounted to EUR 26.1 million, with a year-on-year decrease of 14.4%. This decrease, despite the increase in banking exposures, was mainly due to the decline in benchmark interest rates on the financial market as well as changes in the terms and conditions of certain contractual relationships.

Eximbank’s result for 2025 amounted to EUR 755 thousand; compared to the planned result (EUR 600 thousand), it exceeded it by 25.8%.

The economic results achieved are a reflection of our ability to develop partnerships in a targeted manner, manage performance effectively and respond actively to market needs. We continued to strengthen our role as a “guide” for Slovak companies in foreign markets and expanded our cooperation with domestic and international partners. The economic result above the planned level also confirms our financial resilience and readiness to support further growth of Slovak exports,” said Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka.

Eximbanka continued its activities in 2025 with the aim of creating the best possible conditions for Slovak exporters to succeed in foreign markets. It was actively involved in supporting European initiatives and communicating them to the Slovak business environment; at the same time, it continued to organise professional events focused on individual export territories. Cooperation in the field of economic diplomacy, participation in business missions and presentations, as well as strengthening the presence in the regions was an important part of its activities. Through these activities, Eximbanka systematically contributes to the development of Slovak exports and increasing the readiness of domestic companies to establish themselves in the international environment.
