Eximbanka today welcomed the Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia, Petr Kažimír, and the Deputy Governor, Dušan Keketi. The guests were welcomed by CEO Rastislav Podhorec and Deputy CEO Igor Barát, who introduced the development milestones and key moments in the history of Eximbanka.

The ensuing discussion, which also included other CEO Deputies – Pavol Tavač and Milan Horváth, was held in an open and constructive spirit and focused not only on the existing points of contact between Eximbank and the National Bank of Slovakia, but also on the current challenges posed by the dynamically changing geopolitical and economic environment.

In this context, Eximbank presented its position as a key instrument of the state for export promotion and economic policy enforcement in the field of external economic relations. It also presented its strategic priorities for the coming period, including strengthening support for Slovak exporters, developing combined financing and insurance instruments, digitalizing processes and deepening cooperation with partners at home and abroad.

Particular attention was also paid to the increasing demands on risk management and the need for flexible solutions for exporters, especially when entering more demanding and less standard markets.

In 2025, Eximbanka supported exports in the amount of almost EUR 1.9 billion and continues to systematically develop its instruments in order to strengthen the competitiveness of Slovak companies in international markets.

The meeting confirmed the importance of close cooperation between Eximbank and the National Bank of Slovakia in supporting the stability, resilience and further development of the Slovak economy.
