{"id":10257,"date":"2025-05-23T08:22:15","date_gmt":"2025-05-23T06:22:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/export.sk\/?p=10257"},"modified":"2025-05-23T08:22:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-23T06:22:15","slug":"eu-investigates-allegations-of-dumping-of-pet-plastic-from-vietnam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/export.sk\/en\/eu-investigates-allegations-of-dumping-of-pet-plastic-from-vietnam\/","title":{"rendered":"EU investigates allegations of dumping of PET plastic from Vietnam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">22 May 2025 Brussels &#8211; Today, the European Commission launched an investigation to assess whether anti-dumping measures are warranted on imports of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) from Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"ecl-container\">\n<div class=\"ecl-row\">\n<div class=\"ecl-col-s-12\">\n<div id=\"block-ewcms-theme-main-page-content\" class=\"ecl-u-mb-l\" data-inpage-navigation-source-area=\"h2, div.ecl-featured-item__heading\">\n<article dir=\"ltr\">\n<div class=\"ecl\">\n<p>The launch follows a complaint from EU PET producers, which alleges that dumped imports from Vietnam are harming the EU\u2019s PET-producing industry.\u00a0 PET production directly employs 1,600 people across the EU, with the EU PET plastic market worth more than \u20ac4 billion in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>If the investigation confirms that the EU PET industry suffers from injury or a threat of injury caused by dumped imports from Vietnam, the Commission may impose anti-dumping duties on imports if these are found to be in the interest of the EU.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation shall be concluded maximum 14 months after initiation.
