SARIO Agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, the Representative Office of the Slovak Republic in Belgrade and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce organised the Serbian-Slovak Business Forum in Belgrade on 21 November 2024. The business mission took place during the official visit of the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico, to Serbia.
The business delegation included 45 Slovak companies that came to establish new partnerships and explore opportunities for cooperation in sectors such as energy, renewable energy and environmental solutions, engineering, industry, defence, automotive, agriculture, construction, healthcare and information and communication technologies. More than 50 Serbian companies have registered for the forum.
The Serbian-Slovak Business Forum was held at the Palace of Serbia and opened with speeches by the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Čadež, Director General of SARIO Robert Šimončič, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico and President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.
In the presence of the President of the Republic of Serbia and the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between SARIO and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
After the official opening of the business forum and presentations on the possibilities of deepening cooperation between Slovakia and Serbia, several dozen B2B meetings took place. One of the concrete results of the ongoing cooperation between the entrepreneurs of both countries was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Serbian company Vatrosprem proizvodnja and the Slovak company BPS Truck Servis.
